You claimed in 2015 this all fucking started because you were being a dumbass and abused systems like the DMCA and critique functions because I dared to try to be nice and draw you a fucking surprise gift art. Something people do as FRIENDS. Instead you utilise the critique system, not daring to read the fine print next to the submit button.

Fine fuck it whatever your mistake. But the issue is I never even got a slight fucking thank you or hint at appreciation for my effort in trying to be nice to your selfish ass. Instead I get slapped with a DMCA ticket, over a fucking SURPRISE GIFT. You were so trained on everything I did wrong. Any piece I made for you you picked at without anything constructive, anything to help me better myself, not even a shred of gratitude.

No all I ever suffer is making your own fucking ammo for you to abuse your DMCA bullshit again me, something I had every last fucking right to post because it was MY work and you know DAMN well I credited you in EVERY piece. Now you fabricated a lie that I drew them in a way you didn’t want, one that was a gift and the other something you had paid me for. Un-fucking-believable.

But now let’s get to the shit you’re so trained on. Your basis for your shitty acts of this year. You’re accusing me of using Dan, Gaser, Kaleb, and Orph as spies in your private life? Seriously? But they always mention it to me prior. And for right cause because death threats, framing, and doxing is illegal. And what you did is mpst certainly ILLEGAL.

Contrary to your beliefs, as absurd as they are, I want you to leave me alone. I want you to stop your bullshit. I want you to own up to your trash and BE A BETTER FUCKING PERSON. I have been wanting that for fucking years.

And it is so fucking disgusting that you are denying all you have done when others rise against you. When other people who have seen your crimes finally say something. When all you have to do is fucking sit down, think, maybe even nicely ask, and just not act upon your own horrorstories. There is a user who goes by the name of TheRebelPhoenix/Hikaru that I have witnessed commit cyber harassment in many different forms, these include but are not limited to all of the following; Death Threats, Plotting to Kidnap, Sex Trafficking, Cyber Stalking, Cyber harassment, Blackmail, and releasing personal information online.

I have witnessed my friend’s skype being broken into by this individual who then added her to groups she was in, unblocked herself and then added my friend’s account to her contacts, then went around looking at conversations with my friend’s friends. I have also been around for the images above which I took during these incidents of her pretending to be another individual so she could hop into a stream that my friend was doing just so they could harass her.

I have also seen other things such as callouts on their profile, in many of which my friend’s real name was mentioned and many of which were created with the sole purpose or intent to harass. The things I witnessed from this one individual are sickening, horrifying, and very psychopathic. Please take caution if they contact you, watch you, etc. Stay safe everyone.

I feel like the things actually drawn by the artist is alright but the spiral is not that is literally for site art (edit) if the artists are selling the stuff, if not then the artist stuff is wrong too

Traditional art that’s scanned and therefore counted as digital and actual digital art is fine to sell by the artist as far as I know.

But physical goods, like the traditional art in physical form or any kind of physical item are limited to 5 pieces only, ever.

This doesn’t seem like the artist was involved though so yeah, this would be art theft and Amazon and the artist should both be notified.

If I could have a link to the amazon page to browse it and see if my stuff is there, that’d be great. But the art I see is either official flight rising art, or images that are in my favourites (not made by me!!).

There have been some recents events that really got me thinking. I’m not sure how many of our followers have been following the drama surrounding fan artist zamii070, but here’s an article that tries to explain the gist of what happened. Basically, fans (specifically SU and I think Homestuck) drove this artist to attempted suicide over nonstop harassment for how she drew certain characters. There were a ton of hate blogs about her and people just being bullies because she was “problematic” (I hate that word).

Then there was what happened with aurastarlights. I’m not too certain of the details on this one, but I believe she was harassed on multiple deviantart accounts, even being tracked down when she moved and tried to start over.

Now apparently Shaun is in the hospital from a suicide attempt due to hate generated against him as well as underlying mental issues. 

I’m sure there’s more cases. There always are. This mindless hate…it NEEDS to stop. Were any of these people perfect? Of course not. Did they say and do hurtful things? Yes, sometimes they did. But people can change. Sometimes people don’t even know that what they’re doing is wrong or offensive, and if they do and don’t care, that’s growing they need to do on their own. Ganging up on them is only going to elicit the opposite reaction or result in them giving in just to get the harassment to stop without actually learning anything. And honestly, if you can’t handle someone drawing Rose Quartz or Amethyst skinny, or drawing humanized Twilight as black/white/whatever race you disagree with, or anything of that nature, that’s something you have to deal with. It’s an artist’s interpretation: it’s not taking away the identity of the character in canon and it’s not invalidating your existence. Someone saying they don’t believe in X doesn’t invalidate your existence. I know you can’t control how you feel, but you can control the way you act. If you know that certain things online upset you, it’s your responsibility to safeguard yourself from it, not anyone else’s. And if someone really makes you uncomfortable, distance yourself from them. Keep in mind, though, people aren’t black and white.

I won’t speak for Twi, but as for me, claims against someone without proof, mindless hate, and circlejerking over a certain artist will not be posted. @fucknoipandacakes and @fucknotwiinyan, do Panda and Twii really warrant hate blogs? @fucknosoftfang, does even Softfang need one anymore?

I know I might sound hypocritical since I mod an opinions blog, but we’ve tried to make this more than just a place of hate. You might think I’m being mean or harsh, but I’m not saying any of this out of spite or anger or hate. I’m concerned and saddened. My Little Pony teaches us about love and friendship, and I think we as a community really need to start listening more.

Orphan Works is BACK!  This time under the guise a new proposed US copyright law change, that ALL we artists need to be aware of!  I’m going to write out some quick points, and then point you guys to places where you can get more info.

Current US copyright law protects your work as soon as you make it.  The moment it’s created, it’s yours.  This includes photography too guys!  The proposed changes to the copyright law would strip artists of that inherent right, and force you to pay for and register for every single work you make, and every single work you have made in the past.  And not even with the copyright office, but with PRIVATE COPYRIGHT REGISTRIES. 

Proponents of the new law argue that creators are too hard to find (boohoo, it’s too “hard” to do the right thing), and that the things we create are too important culturally to allow us to have control over the things we make anyway (yeah, because my ability to make a living from MY work isn’t important, right?).  What they really want is the legal ability to use art without having to pay for it.  This is already being done all over the place, but right now we artists at least have the ability to fight back under the law.  This will all get taken away if we don’t speak up. What can we do?

WE ALL HAVE TILL JULY 23rd TO SUBMIT LETTERS TO THE US COPYRIGHT OFFICE AND VOICE OUR DISSENT.  The Illustrators Partnership has already put together all the info you will need, so please visit this link for more info.  You will see sample letters, the correct place to submit, and more information on the proposed law change.

Everything You Know About Copyright is About to Change

Please, take the time to educate yourself about this issue and write a letter to the US Copyright Office.  Without our voices to challenge this, it WILL get pushed through! This law is a danger to all artists!

To be clear, this is NOT a petition!  The US Copyright Office is asking people to write them before July 23rd, answering five questions (which can be found in the first link above).  This does take some time, but the link also includes some sample letters for you to reference if you wish. The US Copyright Office actually wants your genuine and personalized feedback.

Please take some time to write a personalized letter and submit it online (also available in the first link here), so that your voice is truly heard.  They are listening, and this will make an impact if you send your concerns and answer the posed questions.

You guys, I was just watching The Young Blood Chronicles and the video cut randomly and the window minimized - weird shit right so I’m not sure if it’s because of what I’m about to tell you or I just clicked something by accident.

So as you know Poltergeist is coming out and there’s been a post already made about the ad on Tumblr. They spread to YouTube.

The ad:

• Black screen with blue static words saying something - I was too startled to catch it. But its for a second or so, you might have enough time to close the window.
  

• That fucking clown showed up on the video and it turned and shit really creepy and stared directly at me. 
  

• Then blue and black static and messed up with the girl saying some shit.
