It’s getting to where you can’t even Cosplay to have fun without being called racist. This PC binge needs to fucking stop because it’s turning into a hail storm for people trying to cosplay as their favorite characters. 

Honestly though, cosplay is meant for FUN. It’s not used for sexual appeal, it’s not used for “colour appropriation” or lack of. IT’s not whitewashing if a Caucasian person wants to dress as someone that isn’t Caucasian. They do it because they want to cosplay a character they, oh I don’t know, ENJOY? 

SJWs who attack people for not being of a certain skin color should really stop in their tracks and realize that maybe not everyone out there is going out of their way to offend you.

I recall a post similar to this where someone changed Caucasian Disney Princesses into a POC Princess and another post complaining about how “Black” (I hate colour terms) POC can only ever relate to Princess Tiana for being Black or how Asians can only relate to Mulan or how Native Americans can only relate to Pocahontas. Literally stop. 

You don’t have to relate to a character for their colour. Instead, relate to a character BECAUSE OF THEIR PERSONALITY. Visual Attributes is one thing, but a better and deeper connection comes with connecting to a character regardless of colour! 

I honestly have a huge loathing of people who attack cosplayers because they’re “white” when instead of actually going out there to have fun and compliment them for their effort in looking like the character themselves. I recall another post where the VA for Korra in LOK was SLAMMED for cosplaying as the character she VA’d by POCSJWs. Just because someone is of a specific colour doesn’t mean the voice (or person) behind the character will match.

THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS. LET PEOPLE HAVE THEIR FUN. BE NICE. COMPLIMENT THEIR EFFORTS.
