Blue diamond is not a mother figure

I kind of jump around but I promise it's all relevant
I understand why people think that, but I don't see how she could be the loving/caring/motherly type. I've been seeing a lot of fanart where she shows some tenderness to her pearl, and it doesn't feel right.
As far as we know, the diamonds are the top of the the top ranking gems in their hierarchical structure.
Yellow diamond is unforgiving to those who cross her, as would anyone with power because it shows their power is failing or that their place is being challenged.
Blue diamond also showed apathy towards ruby for fusing with a member of her court and said the punishment was to be crushed. Who knows what sort of "mercy" she would give sapphire. Sapphire was saved by a course of action that disrupted a foreseen future, but blue diamond doesn't really seem to care about sapphire's status or wellbeing after being fused with ruby. She had already accepted that she would lose her little prophet. And when it didn't happen, the only thing she seemed to care about was a rule of fusion and used sapphire's status against them. "How dare you fuse with a member of my court. You will be broken for this" seems to have been directed solely at ruby.
But again, what tenderness and mercy would there be in turn for sapphire? Her entire court turn to face them both, and the circumstances make it look like sapphire would NOT go without some form of punishment for the rule of fusion being broken by her as well.
Multifusion of varied gems was an unnacceptable ideology. Sapphire would probably have gotten broken for it as well as ruby because of that one thing.
On another detail, why would blue diamond care for her pearl's feelings. If the instance with sapphire's fusion means anything or shows a sign of a calm and eerie sense of merciless apathy, then she would not give a single shit about her pearl.
Pearls are an item. A slave. Insignificant. Small. Living to serve without giving advice. They are nothing but a tool, a silent service that have no life without their beloved master. Blue diamond would not gently touch her pearl's cheek or pat her on the head in gentle praise. She would see that her pearl be faithfully by her side to do her bidding without question.
The gems ARE intergalactic invaders. Invaders do not care for the worlds they conquer. And I really doubt they care for much other than their wellbeing and their mission while they exist. Invade, destroy. Gems are an advanced civilization that act like phage in a bacteria (hence the pods in kindergarten being the shape of a phage).
They invade the planet. They drill into the crust to create more (colonies). They destroy the planet from the inside out with a geo weapon (the cluster) just like a phage would when they exit the bacteria.
Why would a phage care for its host? Answer:	they don't. And neither would the diamonds for the tools they use to destroy planets.
Yellow diamond made it clear that she didn't care at all. Blue diamond is more than likely in that same boat (why else is she still worshiped with yellow and white diamond?). They will share the same goal and ideologies until something happens to disrupt that pattern.
As far as I'm concerned, blue diamond is as cold and heartless as yellow and white diamond when it comes to anyone and everyone below them.
I can be wrong, but the things I've seen within the sliver of the story reveal currently tells me otherwise.
Conflicting side note:
Blue diamond wears a cloak and robe that is blue. Virgin Mary/Madonna are always cloaked in a blue robe and give off a motherly figure. That's why I think people see her as a motherly type, because of the age old symbolism that is everywhere.

A small theory

So, now that we’ve seen two other Pearls in the show, I was wondering what exactly made the Pearl of the Crystal Gems ‘defective’ as Jasper said. The only major difference I see at first glance is gem placement. Both the Yellow and Blue Pearl have their gems in their chests, while Pearl has hers on her head. But then, it dawned upon me.
Were those Pearls given to the Diamonds because they share gem placement? Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, and their respective Pearls all share gems on their chest.
Then, I began to realize. Pearl’s white skin. Normal for a Pearl, since common Pearls are usually white in appearance. But, the Yellow and Blue Pearls had colors resembling their diamonds. Then, if you take gem placement into consideraton, well…. There’s only once place to look.
Did Pearl perhaps work under White Diamond at first? And upon meeting Rose Quartz, decided to change her loyalty and went rogue?
Probably not but hey it’s a thought lol.
