crispysnakes

I usually double check everyone once everyone is fed to make sure they’ve eaten (or are working on it) - and because I feed in the enclosures on aspen, that they’re not gulping down substrate with their meals.  As I was walking out of the room I heard a POP and a wheezy noise and then a hiss, which I’ve never heard before during feeding, so I turned around and went back through the rack to see who was making noise.  Lo and behold, Seagram popped his rat.  I ended up tweezing bloody aspen off the carcass as he swallowed and then gently tugged aspen-laden intestines away from him (he’d practically ripped the thing in two, they were hanging out in a clump and came away real easy).  He finished up fine and looked at me like he wanted seconds.

Entrails smell real raunchy, man.
