“We are the Survivors” Rant

I’m like really fucking pissed right now. Like legitimately pissed.

There’s a group called “Survivors” or something that’s a pro-life group. And honestly? I absolutely loathe pro-life groups because they’re just one of the stupidest groups out there. And to my knowledge, most of them have a religious factor in their reasoning. 

Anyways, this group showed up at the college today and was handing out fliers and shit and displaying boards and fetuses of specific stages and explaining why it’s wrong to abort children. 

backonmonday told me he managed to make them uncomfortable by saying “yes, killing people is totally okay in some cases”. Go you. :’D

demoniclemondickgirl went up to them just before his class started and mentioned how maybe his views were wrong and how he should consider being pro-life (to troll). And then he bit a piece of the paper they handed out to him and said “It’s not as good as the real thing”. I was dying. 

I ended up having a useless argument with a repetitive girl and dear fucking gods it was the most painful thing. All she said was “when a sperm fertilizes an egg, you are now a human”. What the fuck is that? Some kinda black magic shit? Hell naw bitch.

I asked the girl “is this for some religious purpose” and she said “oh no. It’s not”. I only guessed because religious groups tend to step in and say how this is [morally] wrong and I also noticed the cross on her necklace to indicate her religion. And based on what backonmonday told me, they are a religious group. So fuck you too.

She had a diagram of a 9-week old and a 23-week old fetus, which is a red flag enough. Fetuses around 23 weeks of age don’t normally get aborted unless there are reasons for being so late. so take that bullshit off your stupid board, kay?

She also kept asking me “Is it wrong for people to kill other defensless human beings?” And I kept answering every time “It depends." Which meant it depended on the fucking person. Maybe they were raped, maybe they weren’t ready. Maybe they had a complication which said they were at risk for something if they gave birth(death). 

Her reason after that? "Well about (certain percentage) regret aborting their children after a month or so”. Maybe because you were shaming their fucking asses. I don’t know about you, but if I was a victim of rape, I would no feel sorry at fucking all for having an abortion. I WOULD feel sorry for birthing a child I did not want, who WAS an accident appear in the world as a thing to remember the horrid event. The excuse I can imagine them using is “well, you can put them up for adoption or foster care”. Bitch, lemme tell you something. This ain’t no motherfucking neopets adoptables or some shit. These would be real people with NO idea who their parents were unless they checked files/searched. The child would still face stresses of mental/psychological disorder and maybe physical.

I have a friend in the foster care system. Let me tell you something, the rules are strict. He gets circulated to another family every few months. He fucking cried when he left the neighborhood I was in. Would pro-life people really allow that [yes]?! Are you really going to shame women who want abortions into having a child they weren’t ready for or did not want [yes]?! 

If it were in my position, I don’t want to be pregnant. That view has never changed and is not likely to change ever. I don’t want to go through the possibility of mourning sickness. I don’t want my guts to be squished by some immaturely designed hell monster spawning in my uterus. No, fuck that. Even the though of having to hear them cry at random times of night would probably piss me off into a full on mental state. If I ever got pregnant, it’d be through rape. And if that did happen, I’d get an abortion as soon as I can. Fuck you guys, but I’d rather delete the file that store it away in a folder I may accidentally rediscover down the line.

Anyway, she kept going on about how it’s a “defenseless human life”. No, I’m sorry but no. Hold the fucking phone. Scratch that, I’m nowhere near sorry. JUST NO.Defenseless human life? They lack consciousness. They have a developing nervous cluster. They may be able to feel pain at “23” or whatever weeks you claim, but most abortions happen way earlier than that. And even if they could feel pain? Who cares? They don’t have enough development to cry for help. They’re still “developing in the womb”. By aborting offspring, you’re literally taking a lump of flesh away from the spot of nutrition and protection until birthing. So fuck you there too.

Right, so with that out of the way, here’s something I learned from backonmonday about this group:

So yeah, basically they’re trespassing and spewing bullshit about the place. Next time I see your sorry asses, I’m reporting you to security because you have no rights to be on grounds to demonstrate your stupidity. Just shut up and leave.
