Sometimes I get comments on DA that make me want to shove my head into a toaster

You had me at “Man, if people on here didn’t ask for money and things It would be a lot easier on me…..”

Apparently you don’t have the time to draw a comic but you have the time to write an essay back to a moron. Why can’t you just say a simple ‘No’ or not even respond.. 

1. You clearly have no idea how much time and effort goes into a comic— or art in general— if you feel that comparing the amount of time I took writing this reply to the amount of time I would put aside for a (large-scale) piece of art is even remotely feasible. 

2. Why did you take the time to respond to this Tumblr post? Why did you take time out of your day to make a negative comment? Is it because this post bothered you— you felt like you had something to say? There’s your answer.

Regardless of a negative comment’s length, it is a negative comment nonetheless. You could have chosen not to respond just as much as I could have.

Oh, but they just asked for my hard work for free so that’s something I should have COMPLETELY overlooked and let go without standing up for myself. Woe is me for standing my ground! Shame on artists for NOT allowing people to SHIT all over their hard work and pride!!!!!!!
