This is fucking disgusting.

That is a charmer’s snake. They rake and pull the teeth out of these cobras to make them safe to work with. It is incredibly inhumane and the vast majority die of infection.

This cobra is fucking terrified for its life, unable to defend itself. This isn’t a hug, or a baby doing something brave. It’s the further abuse and exploitation of an animal that has suffered for entertainment, a snake forced in to this existence by cruel and uncaring people.

While India is still home to some of the most vile traditional snake abuse out there, I think in recent years laws were put in place to stop charmers working with snakes in this condition. I’m not sure. But seeing this on my dash with that many fucking notes and no text is gut flipping.

there is nothing i hate more than seeing everyone losing their shit over a picture of a beaten and half dead kitten, but glorifying the mutilated image of a killed snake. people, there’s no difference. THEY BOTH FEEL PAIN. reptile abuse is just as real as mammal abuse.

and don’t even get me started on the abuse of fish and EVERY OTHER CREATURE WE SHARE THIS PLANET WITH.
