A guy skilled in Programming decides to exploit the new “mentions” feature and summons 780,000 deviants from all over the world to his various journal pages (as each page summons 4,000 users at a time)…Some are overly excited and join in with his “fun making” game. Some are pissed off…Upset by him exploiting a security hole or simply annoying them..There are those like myself that are trying to get this issue reported before something worst than a guy hoping to have a mass party happens…
My confession? Im loosing hope in deviantart.. Like most of us..
In my efforts to try and get this guy reported before something WORST happens… Many people are trying to tell me
"Shut up!" "Stop trying to be a party Pooper!" "He’s only trying to have fun!"
Some even going as far as to say that if it weren’t for programmers exploiting security holes the world wouldn’t be as far as it is in technology today.
Are they not concerned for their own safety on this website? To concerned with celebrating this guys incredible feat? I can agree it’s amazing he has the programming skills to do it I mean if you have programming skills like this you would want to show it off right? But showing it off in a way that could possibly annoy THOUSANDS of people.. Isnt right..… Nor does that give you the right to be mean or rude to some one that’s just concerned for her safety as well as the safety of others on the website or even try to excuse the fact that he exploited a security hole…
"Have fun. Life is to short."
Doesn’t make this situation “Ok” or “Right”.
