The entire point of Halloween is to dress up as something/someone you are not on one day a year. Dressing like an Indian is not the same as insulting an Indian or dehumanizing Indians or saying Indians are less then you are. Dressing like the Eiffel Tower is not being racist to French people. Dressing as a geisha girl is not being racist to Asian people. IT’S FUCKING DRESSING IN A COSTUME TO MAKE BELIEVE YOU’RE ANOTHER CULTURE FOR ONE NIGHT AND GET SOME GOD DAMN CANDY!! IF ANYTHING THIS SHOULD BE PRO CULTURE, NOT ANTI CULTURE!!! If your 1st grade teacher ever wore an Indian headdress to teach a class, she’s racist. He has a beret on his head? Fucking racist. Look, that white girl is squinting without her glasses, she’s racist against the Asians. NO. STOP. You know what IS racist? Looking at someone else’s culture as such a foreign oddity that it can never be expressed unless the person has the appropriate skin tone.
