I just want to rant about how much I hate my school for a minute.

Advisors are the guys you talk to when there’s scheduling conflicts, etc. I’m in my senior year right now and have learned to AVOID RELYING ON THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COST.

In the 4 years I have been here, I have had 7 different advisors

  • First one quit within the first 2 months of freshman year
  • Second one was temporary one was there til the end of the semester
  • Third one went on maternity leave sophomore year
  • Her replacement quit shortly thereafter
  • Her replacement’s replacement stayed til she returned in, yet in that time he wound up conveniently going on vacation right when registration started for my second semester junior year
  • My would-have-been sophomore advisor then quit at the start of this year, only having actually done any advisor work for a few months of junior year
  • I had a new advisor for about a month this year, only for him to quit and be replaced by this new guy

If you need help on a more administrative level, or even just have a question, there’s a slim to none chance of you getting any in the engineering majors here. (Not to mention half of these people have been incompetent as fuck.)

Most useful person I know at my school is the administrative assistant for my department. Always try to friend someone...
