It’s been 3 months now and this site is still so slow that it’s unplayable most of the time. This is ridiculous. What were they thinking? They even bought more servers. Is it the servers’ fault? Is it the coding’s fault? Why is it still so slow? They’ve been doing tests and shit on it continuously…
No, I’m with you. Right now there are 1300 users online and the site is so slow that it takes literally 5 minutes for ONE PAGE to load. :/ I am soooo not amused. Right before they let newbies in, the site was loading fine. Wasn’t super fast, but didn’t drag ass. They jumped the gun, again.
i agree, the site is slow and they need to fix it fast because right now it’s damn near impossible to play for 90% of the user base.
however, they jumped the gun on purpose. opening up a small window for registration was done so they could test the serves and see how much they could handle. we all knew this - they told us and most of us saw the lag coming. they couldn’t leave registration closed forever lol.
i feel like they jumped the gun opening the site to the public in the first place. inb4 ‘they didn’t know how popular it was going to be’. they got 10x their kickstarter goal. that should’ve been a pretty big indication and they fart assed around with their own coding team that seemed to do more harm than good. they should have admitted they needed help long before they did.
but hey, all that’s hindsight and they’ve got a team that seems pretty competent now and they fixed the previous site issues (mostly the lag) in a matter of a few days so hopefully they’ll be able to fix these, too.

The “we weren’t expecting it” argument is the biggest bullshit they’ve ever pulled. You take neondragon - a VERY popular dragon artist - add neopets - and you don’t expect a shit ton of popularity?

Plus, there were almost zero bugs in the headstart. I swear to god they fiddle with the site too fucking much every maintenance and wreck it even more.
