Green Lantern v4 #55

I know I’ve reblogged this before, but I was just struck by the idea that the murderer is heavily implied to be the woman’s ex-husband (or hired by him). In the first panel, she’s wearing a wedding ring/engagement ring set, but lives alone. The rings are by her bedside the night of her murder, and the intruder is obviously intent on stealing them. She doesn’t scream for help until she sees him, and, presumably, recognizes him.

Ugh. I just…I know Dex-Starr was originally created as a ‘joke’ character, but he has a more compelling origin story than most “real superheroes.”
