So remember how I mentioned that I met the copwatcher dude Jose LaSalle? That’s him in the second (in the middle holding the sign), 4th, and last 2 images I took back at the ‘Hands Off Assata Shakur’ demonstration.
I just wanted to bring this back up because at the time of meeting him I had no idea he did that for the community but it just adds to his awesomeness that he’s out here defending black women too aside from helping our poc communities from crooked cops trying to racially profile or overstep their power on an unsuspecting minority.
Big ups to Jose LaSalle for that and another to his stepson for blowing the lid on the stop-n-frisk policy with the short film they put out using a recorded stop n frisk where they had proof of the NYPD being the racist shit heads they are. Really awesome that I got to meet someone like that. These people are examples of what it means to fight back a corrupt system.
