A nearly spotless cheetah
"Legends of the white cheetah run from the beginning of the 17th century. From historical sources we know that for the first time this rare animal showed the Emperor of India, Jahangir in 1608. The spots on his skin were not as black as that of conventional cheetahs, and blue, and the color of the coat - blue and white. These signs point to a violation of the hair pigmentation. Because of the lack of pigment in the roots of the hairs, they have an unusual color.
In our time, the white cheetah occasionally observed with 1920. But the photos of this mythical beast managed to make only very recently, Guy Combs. According to him, in December last year, he spoke about the cheetah with unusual coloring. Struck by these animals Guy immediately went to southern Africa in order to find it. First, he decided to search out the beast from the air. However, nothing came of it.
Only at the second attempt, with the help of local residents, Combs was able to see him. cheetah White looked a major bright spot amid the rising sun and the golden haze. Photographer tried to come as close as possible, so as not to scare off the beast. However, he still sensed the presence of a person and people just got binoculars, as the animal sped away, leaving behind only dust and some rare pictures on the memory."
