Wodaabe ethnic group, where the men dress up and make these faces to attract women. Aside of the fact that it’s hilarious to see what they do, I love the idea where men use make-up, feathers and pretty clothes in order to possibly have a chance in an area where there’s a lack of females.

For this particular people beauty is almost everything. Men dress up in elaborate costumes/garments and put make up on in order to impress ladies. Sometimes even married women! 
If a woman sees a man she likes she will allow him to essentially ‘steal’ her from her former husband. If he can sneak in to camp and snatch her away without getting caught then he can claim her. However, if he’s caught the penalty will be to fight her former husband… sometimes even to the death!
In a ceremony called a ‘Gerewol’ the men get up in a procession and line and flash their teeth and the whites of their eyes; the whiter the more desirable and attractive. They also hum and flash their eyes while swaying from side to side in an swooning spectacle. 
All for the attention of a woman! 
Fascinating culture… absolutely fascinating :) Sorry for the random National Geographic moment lol… Couldn’t help it.
