Try finding a .png file with a transparent background(shows as white bg by default), save it, and open its file alongside the one you’ll put it onto. Hit ctrl+a then ctrl+x(or ctrl+c) and then paste it on the other file. It should show as a new layer without white marks.

Do not copy a transparent image or you get some nasty results.
