I’m saying this as an animator, artist, and director, not as a musician, VA, or SFX engineer: Great voice acting, sound effects, and background music are literally half the animation process. Visuals can give you the setting, but audio is what creates the emotion.

Don’t cut corners on this stuff, because 10/10 times you’ll regret it. It’s incredibly rewarding when it’s done well.
