Via amazing-how-you-love, Bay Area news station KTVU couldn’t resist the opportunity to broadcast racist Asian name jokes after last week’s violent crash landing of Asiana Flight 214 at the San Francisco International Airport, resulting in the deaths of two young Chinese women.

The news anchor later went on air with the worst apology ever, not directly addressing the racist nature of what had been broadcast but simply stating that the names were inaccurate and claiming (with zero credibility) that the names had been provided by the National Transportation Safety Board. They also posted an online “apology" sticking to the same story, blaming the NTSB.

Good one, KTVU. Let’s see who gets the last laugh on this one.
