Do you believe mermaids exist?

Why else would the governments and navy be all shit flippy sensative over it?
There are some new videos captured by a deep-sea mapping group who did attempt to catch them on camera. The first go, there was a bloop(audio) and then a sudden shove on the submarine right after it stopped.
After rediving to try to find them again, both cameras taken caught a webbed hand touching the window as well as the body, the creature being lit by the lights inside the submersible out through the windows.
I believe they're real. But maybe I'm just a nut. I don't know. It's just sad to see the "powered people" taking something extraordinary and shoving it under the carpet like it's none of your business. It's also sad to hear an anonymous marine literally tell what they did to various sea creatures. It's all just sad.. It's torture...
