I have an OC i would appreciate being drawn but i dont have 80+ dollars to pay for a good artist to actually put more effort than lineart or a sketch towards.

Then commission someone cheaper. There’s plenty of artists in the fandom, many who offer a full color for just $15.
$80 is pretty cheap for a professional piece, however. If you think, say, 8 hours of work is worth less than that, it’s pretty insulting to the artist.
