Tumblr’s mistake in a nutshell

>Automated flagging to fight automated botting which really hurts others in the process

While I understand that tumblr’s a large site with a large userbase, using an AI system is not a good way to go about it. I’ve seen a few users dedicated to hunting down porn bot accounts and reporting them, tumblr could also hire scouting staff to review newly made accounts that come in by the day. The AI is learning, yes, but it has been flagging content that doesnt even relate to human genitals and I really doubt this system would last very long.
