one thing that gets on my nerves wrt steven universe fanart is like… the hoops ppl will jump thru n the logic they will stretch to maneuver the same wispy wavey hair they’d draw on say, lapis, to fit into all the weird hair shapes that various gems have when we have actual real life hair textures that can be sculpted in2 these shapes

n i dont mean just the obvious ones like garnet and ruby, altho i do still see a lot of ppl trying to give ruby these wispy loose curls. example: people struggling to find a way to give peridot triangle hair? BAM. afro. Yellow diamond? Afro. like these are hairstyles that can actually be achievable and look like that w an afro u dont have to alter the physics of flat white ppl hair, solve all ur problems w afros
