Dude, I’m pretty sure that is literally the exact intention. The moves are pretty distinctly recycled from their Fighting is Magic project.

The rest of the cast has been revealed on the crowdfunding page too, and the whole Mane 6 is are represented by expies, with the strange exception of Rainbow Dash… much to my disappointment.

Still, hyped as all hell for this game.

I think I remember them announcing that there was going to be 6 characters, so maybe not-RD is a hidden character, or possibly even starts as an antagonist.
