Just wanted to post this comparison to one of the first pieces of pony art i ever drew compared to what i drew last night. Both are rough sketches so that’s why the newest one is messy. (also i’m lazy.) I still don’t have anatomy down pat but i’m a hell of a lot better than i was and i wish my previous laptop didn’t break so i could be even better than i am now.

Even on the 2012 one, someone had commented saying “wow, i see why you use bases now”  WELL LOOK WHAT HAPPENED MOTHERFUCKER I GOT BETTER. 

You guys WILL get better once you start hand drawing.  It may take a while, but goddamn.  make it YOUR OWN.  You’ll have a love/hate relationship with each piece but each one is a step forward to having a piece of you in everything you create and that’s special as fuck. 

Honestly just practicing over and over will help with anything. Practice. Makes. Perfect.
