Apologizing for doing something wrong shouldn’t be

“I’m sorry, I did that because *insert excuses here*”

It should be

“I’m sorry, here is why what I did was wrong.  I promise I won’t do it again”

It most certainly isn’t

“IM SORRY IM SORRY IM SORRY  I APOLOGIZED SO LEAVE ME ALONE!”

Even 16 year olds should know better…
