Sadly this type of racism these war heroes faced still goes on today. It took George Lucas several years to get the movie RED TAILS made ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Tails ) because a lot of producers were not confident with an all black cast could really sell a movie. Ignoring the message of the story
