I get asked this so often its ridiculous. “How are you asexual if you draw porn or sexual content?”
Well, if we’re going by that logic… How are you a human if you draw so many animals? How are you gay if you draw straight couples? How are you a guy if you draw so many girls?
See the issue? Your art may express portions of you, but it does not define who you are. Plenty of people out there might not be into certain things, but that doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to draw it just because its not their orientation or strictly their interest.
It is like telling a dog lover they can’t really be a dog lover because they also appreciate cats, sometimes draw cats, and don’t actively hate felines. You can be gay and still have straight ships, that doesn’t mean you aren’t as gay as the sun is bright.
I hope this kind of clears up some of this ‘you can’t be “this” if you also draw or appreciate “this”’ confusion.
