Sydney friends, particularly those who work/pass the CBD please avoid this area and stay safe. I wish I wasn’t personally addressing so many of you that I love rn and that everyone would just answer my calls/messages rn because a lot of public transport has been stopped, and I know ya’ll will be stuck in the city if you have been told to leave work! Please stay safe!

Martin Place train station is closed, as is the Eastern Suburbs line (it runs through Martin Place station). EDIT: The train lines to the Eastern Suburbs have resumed but aren’t stopping at Martin Place. Those wishing to go to the Eastern Suburbs have been advised to use the ferries & buses.

Stay safe, avoid going to Martin Place if you can. It may not be wise to catch Uber taxis at the moment as they are charging a base price of $100 to get out of the Sydney CBD so plan accordingly.

I believe there are also some traffic problems on the Harbour Bridge but I’m unsure.  

This might be a bit old and there may be further lock-downs on other train stations and bus routes.
